Message from the Doctoral Consortium Chairs

The MobileHCI Doctoral Consortium provides the opportunity for doctoral students to explore, develop, and share their research ideas in a multi-disciplinary workshop, under the guidance of leading researchers in the field. The unique format of this workshop allows students to receive constructive feedback on their thesis work, get advice about future developments, and share ideas and experiences with peers in related areas. We invite students within different areas of mobile HCI who feel they would benefit from this kind of feedback on their dissertation work to apply for the MobileHCI 2019 DC. The strongest candidates will be those who have a clear topic and research approach, have advanced beyond the early stages in their thesis research but are yet in the finalizing phase of their work. In addition to stating how you will benefit from participation, both you and your advisor should be clear on what you can contribute to the Doctoral Consortium.
