Information for Participants

Main Conference (27-29 Sept.)

Conference Program

Please consult the MobileHCI'23 website for the full conference program. To support your conference experience, the program can also be found on the SIGCHI online app (desktop and mobile). As we near the conference actual dates, minor changes might still apply to the program, so please ensure you remain up to date.

Conference Registration

For physical participants, the registration desk will be open 8 am - 4 pm, from Tuesday 26 to Thursday 28th included. On Friday 29th, the registration desk will close at the time of the morning coffee-break.

Online Tools & Hybrid Participation

The conference supports hybrid participation for use by both physical and virtual participants. Please read on, regardless of your registration type. To support the hybrid part of the conference, we will use Zoom for the presentations and Discord for questions/answers and asynchronous communications.

Streaming

The following sessions will be streamed via Zoom:
  • Chairs’ Welcome
  • Poster & Demo Madness Session
  • Keynotes
  • Paper Sessions
  • Industry Perspectives
  • Sponsor Perspectives
  • Doctoral Consortium
  • Awards & Closing Ceremony
The Zoom streaming link (valid each day of the main conference from 08:00am EEST) will be sent to registered participants through email. If you have not received it, please contact the general chairs by email.

Text & Voice communication

Physical and virtual participants are encouraged to use the official MobileHCI’23 Discord Server. The server will be used to support both synchronous and asynchronous communications associated with each contribution presented during the main conference.

During all sessions, participants can post questions to presenters or comment on the contents of the presentation using the relevant Discord text channels. Q&A during sessions will be managed exclusively via Discord - please DO NOT use the Zoom chat to post questions during the conference, as this will not be monitored during the conference.

In the Dedicated Poster & Demo session, participants will be able to also talk to remote presenters via dedicated Discord voice channels.

The Discord Server is available now and you can register ahead of the conference through the invite link sent to registered participants through email. If you have not received it, please contact the general chairs by email.

Please note that most of the Discord server channels are hidden until users have posted in the discord-registration channel and obtained the 'Registered' role.

Conference Proceedings

The conference proceedings will be available at the ACM Digital Library ahead of the actual conference dates - please check the program page of our website for links as they become available.

Conference Pre-Recorded Videos

All material included in the conference proceedings (including full papers) are accompanied by pre-recorded videos. These will be available on the SIGCHI YouTube channel ahead of the conference - please check the program page of our website for links as they become available.

Doctoral Consortium

Kindly note that while the Doctoral Consortium is primarily aimed at the presenting doctoral students, all interested participants are welcome and invited to join the session. The DC session will be streamed live for of virtual participants too.
