Traveling to Oldenburg
Bremen airport is only 45 minutes away by car and is just one hop from the major international airport hubs Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam and Paris. Airport information is available at: www.airport‐bremen.de The airport is well‐connected to public transport; going from there to Oldenburg takes no more than an hour. Or you comfortably take the “Luftibus” ‐ a local Airport shuttle service. Other major airports in easy reach are in Hamburg (HAM), Hanover (HAJ) and Münster/Osnabrück (FMO). Oldenburg is linked to the long‐distance network of the Deutsche Bahn which mainly runs intercity services to the city. Bremen and Hanover are also accessible from Oldenburg by regional connections and express trains. Oldenburg’s main train station (ICE station) is only around 10 to 15 minutes’ walk away from the city center.
The central bus station which connects to all services is also located on the north side of the station. Oldenburg has a very good public transport system. Many of the conference facilities are within walking distance of the city. Oldenburg is also a bicycle city and we also recommend biking in Oldenburg. We will aim to make a special offer for renting a bike and access local transportation during the conference.
